Home ≫ Other Activities At Toddbrook

Toddbrook Sailing Club doesn’t just do sailing! There’s a variety of other activies, both on and off the water that you can get involved with.

Open Water Swimming (TOWS)

Toddbrook Open Water Swimming (TOWS), a part of Glossop Triathlon Club, usually run regular, organised, open water swimming sessions on Toddbrook. TOWS has temporaraly moved to Combs, and sessions have resumed.

Paddleboarding (SUP’ing) & Canoeing

Stand up paddlers and canoers are associate members of TSC and can paddle at any time unless dinghy racing is taking place. A social paddle is held on Tuesday evenings from 6.00-8.00pm when more experienced paddlers help newer members to get onto the water. The club has a number of different SUP boards for members to try out and borrow. There are SUP games nights for younger paddlers usually held on Tuesdays.

The SUP and canoe members join the annual camping weekend to Bala, as well as occasional activities with other paddle groups such as canal trips. Individual members organise their own trips to far flung places!

Socials & Film Night

Toddbrook runs regular club social events, ranging between BBQs, winter Film Night’s in the clubhouse to quiz nights – and in 2020, this moved online for club Zoom Quizes. We run an annual winter walk, along with cruising & socal trips annually to Bala, in north wales and Conniston in the Lake District.

Look out for announcements on all channels (Facebook, Email and this website) for details of these!
